Types of Articles Accepted by KJ – Knowledge Journal
KJ – Knowledge Journal accepts the submission of various types of articles in all fields of R&D. All articles can be submitted in Portuguese, English, Spanish. The types of articles accepted include:
- Original Articles
- Description: Original research studies that present new data and findings in the field of gerontology. These articles should include a detailed introduction, methods, results, and discussion.
- Requirements: Preferably, data collection should have been conducted within the last five years. Exceptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, based on a reasonable justification provided by the authors.
- Review Articles
- Description: Comprehensive reviews that synthesize and analyze existing literature on a specific topic in gerontology. These articles should offer a critical view and synthesis of advancements in the field.
- Requirements: Should provide a detailed analysis and critical discussion of the relevant literature.
- Brief Communications
- Description: Concise reports of preliminary research, significant findings, or ongoing study results. These articles are shorter than original articles and should focus on key results and conclusions.
- Requirements: Should include a summary of objectives, methods, results, and main conclusions.
- Special Articles
- Description: Papers addressing special, emerging, or specific interest topics in the field of gerontology. These articles may include studies on new trends, innovative methodologies, or current relevant topics.
- Requirements: Should provide a detailed discussion of the special topic and its relevance to gerontology.
- Case Reports
- Description: Detailed studies of individual cases offering insights into specific aspects of conditions, treatments, or phenomena in gerontology. These reports should illustrate significant cases and provide a thorough analysis.
- Requirements: Should include a complete case description and discussion on the relevance and implications of the case for practice or research in the field.
- Study Protocols (in specific cases)
- Description: Study protocols describing the planning and methods for future research in the field of gerontology. These documents should provide a detailed description of the study’s methodology and objectives.
- Requirements: Accepted on a case-by-case basis, with the editors evaluating submissions based on the relevance and quality of the protocol.
